Q. What is the nature and extent of the training you provide your staff?

This includes formal training on: the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA); The Federal Trade Commissions Guidelines Against Debt Collection Deception; The Federal Communications Act; The Code of Ethics & Code of Operations of the American Collectors Association; The Kansas Consumer Protection Act; the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Attorneys and account managers are also regularly (monthly) updated on current Court cases in each of the above areas through the National Consumer Law Center, the monthly ALPS Risk Management Report, the American Collectors Association, International, and MAPLIST reports, as well as immediate e-mail updates and formal monthly seminars with the Topeka Collection Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Creditor Rights / Assets Protection Group, and the bi-yearly seminars put on by the Kansas Credit Attorney Association.
